One of the first life lessons kids seem to pick up is that when you're accused of something awful, deny deny deny. Even if you did it. Even if there are cameras that caught you doing it.

At least that seems to be the theory ousted 'Big Brother' cast member Aaryn Gries -- aka "the racist one" -- went with when she said she's not a horrible person. She's just, you know, Texan.

During a sit-down with host Julie Chen, Gries said that even though the house's ubiquitous cameras plainly showed her mocking everyone from Asians to African-Americans, she doesn't remember doing that and "didn't mean to ever come off as racist."

"In Texas, we say things. Sometimes we joke and we don't mean it," she (poorly) explained. "I feel how bad it is being seen and how I've come across to people. I don't want to seem like that person."

"I apologize to anyone I offended for that. That was not meant to be serious and if I said those things, I feel horrible for that. I regret that."

And her regret will probably only grow. Since Aaryn's in the "jury house" and still cut off from the outside world until the 'Big Brother' finale in September, she doesn't yet know her on-camera diarrhea of the mouth has already caused her modeling agency to kick her to the curb.
