I only have one question regarding Beto's upcoming appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." One the citizens of El Paso want, nay, need to know the answer to.

Will he dance?

Thanks in large part to a video of him defending NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem going viral, Beto O’Rourke will be appearing on "Ellen" on Wednesday Sept. 5.

Anyone who has ever watched an episode of her daytime talk show knows busting a move is her thing. Since the show's debut, DeGeneres has danced her way into the audience and to her chair after the opening monologue. It’s since become common practice for guests of the show to walk out and do a little move of their own.

Will Beto follow suit and shake his Democratic groove thing?

Other politicians who appeared on the show have. Barack Obama did when he was on the campaign trail back in 2007. Hillary Clinton did. Even 100-year-old Bernie Sanders danced during his appearance. Heck, he even participated in a "Hotline Bling" dancing skit.

I posed the question to his people via email and Tweeted Beto directly, but as of this posting I have not received a response. I think he will. He jammed on stage with Willie Nelson and rode a skateboard in a Whataburger parking lot so he's clearly not uptight.

I just hope if he does it’s not The White Man’s Overbite.
