Beto O’Rourke’s Full Speech at The March for Truth Rally

El Paso came out in full force for both rallies last night as President Trump was holding a rally at the El Paso Coliseum while Beto O’Rourke and his supporters gathered at the Chalio Acosta Sports Center.

The nation had all eyes on our city and it was a time to shine and welcome every supporter whether democrat or republican.

While co-workers covered the Trump rally I attended the O’Rourke march that began at Bowie High School. Thousands of people came out in droves and then marched in unison to the Chalio Sports Center which was visible across the El Paso Coliseum.

The evening began on stage with an all-female mariachi group followed by the introduction of Beto O’Rourke. The evening then concluded with more live music including local musicians Jim Ward and Emily Davis. Accompanied on stage by his wife and three children, O'Rourke spoke passionately and sometimes in Spanish about the struggles of immigrants and how El Pasoans can help build the future of America.
