Viva! El Paso – The summer outdoor musical extravaganza chronicles the 400 year history of El Paso through song and dance, set against the backdrop of the Franklin Mountains. Friday and Saturday at McKelligan Canyon. More Details

Carlos Mencia – The always funny, thought-provoking comedian returns to El Paso with new standup material. Friday-Saturday at the Comic Strip, 1201 Airway. Show times are 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Ticket prices vary. More Details

Alfresco! Fridays – FREE outdoor concert featuring PT & The Cruisers (Classic Rock). 6 p.m. Friday at the Convention Center Plaza, downtown. More Details

Music on the Lawn at Fountains at Farah – Local and regional bands perform in the Fountains at Farah Pavilion. Saturday 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. This week, Dirty Circuits, Memoria, The Other Half. FREE. More Details

Music Under the Stars – An evening of music and dancing under the stars with Latin pop rock band Sayverse + Father’s Day Classic Car Show. Sunday at Cohen Stadium, 9700 Gateway North. Gates open at 5 p.m., concert starts at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is FREE. More Details

Family Dollar Day at Western Playland  – Take in the 30+ rides for cheap. $1 admission, ride tickets and snacks on Friday, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., 1249 Futurity Dr., Sunland Park, NM, across from Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. Admission $1. More Details

Zoo After Howlers – The El Paso Zoo will stay open until 8:30 p.m. Saturday only. All attractions also open into the evening. Admission varies. More Details

City Spray Parks – All 8 of the park spray pads (1 in each city district) have approximately 15-30 water features with separate shaded picnic areas. All FREE to use and open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. More Details

City of El Paso Swimming Pools – The city’s outdoor and indoor aquatic facilities are open for recreational swimming. Hours vary by location. Admission is $1-$2. More Details

Wet N Wild Waterworld – El Paso’s 60-acre water park features more than 20 rides and attractions, and the largest wave pool in Texas. 8804 South Desert Boulevard, Anthony, Texas. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.  More Details

Downtown Artist and Farmers Market – Artisan market highlights regionally grown agricultural products and original arts and crafts, as well entertainment featuring local artists, food vendors and free activities.
