So this year's Balloon Fest will be my 10th as an employee of this station.  Over the years I've been fortunate enough to have some wonderful and unique experiences.

I've met great bands, drove 150 miles to try and rescue an act who's tour bus had broken down,  had plenty of laughs, snuck a drink or two when nobody was looking, suffered a few sunburns and even lost a portable generator that belonged to the station one year.

It's been a great ride and hopefully I'll be able to enjoy many more years of Balloon Fest.  Some of those memories have faded a bit over time but I can still remember the excitement I felt when I first saw a hot air balloon get up in the air.  Here I am 10 years later and I still get the same feelings of awe and excitement as I did my very first year.  There truly are some things that never get old.

You still have one more day(Monday) to catch the balloon launch from Santa Teresa Country Club.  I'd aim to try and get there by about 6:00 a.m.  I know it's early but trust me when I tell you that it's worth it.  Take the family, meet up with friends or do both.  Either way it's free to attend!
