Tricia

I've been the co-host of the Mike and Tricia Mornings for the past 8 years, the longest running of Mike's on-air wives! My day starts with a muttered curse word when the alarm goes off at 3 a.m., but once that first morning pot of coffee kicks in, I'm raring to go and entertain our listeners! I'll let you know when that finally happens! I'm happily married to Darren Hunt, mom to Ryan and Sam, grandmother to 4 beautiful little girls, and part of a huge family who loves to hang out eat, talk, and argue politics - kind of like what I do on the show! When asked what the best part of my job is, I always say, it's the listeners. You've gotten me through Ryan's 3 deployments, been patient with me during the ballpark controversy, and been so nice to me all these years! Thanks for listening!

UTEP Miners Beat Tulane In Basketball And Tied For First Place In CUSA – Could March Madness Be Far Behind?

UTEP remains the only Texas college basketball team with an NCAA championship. That title was won on March 19, 1966, by the legendary Coach Don Haskins and the team of five black players when UTEP was called Texas Western. That win, and Haskins career here in El Paso, made this a college basketball city. When UTEP hired Haskins disciple, Tim FLoyd, hopes were raised that maybe UTEP could win another NCAA title. Whether or not they can do that remains to be seen, but after last night's victory over Tulane, and UTEP's tie for first place in Conference USA, could the NCAA Tournament once again be within the Miner's reach?

The City Of El Paso, AARP Offer Free Tax Prep to El Pasoans

Tax time is a particularly vicious circle of hell we all go through. You make money and the government taxes you on it. Then you have to prepare your tax return, but you want to pay someone who understands the ridiculous maze of tax laws, but you can't because that costs money, and you don't have any because the government taxes your income so much that you sometimes have to live off of ramen noodles and peanut butter. If only there was someone who could help you with your taxes and not charge you a lot of money. You're in luck, there is someone who can do just that!

Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown – Because It’s Not A Holiday Without Him

Back in the day, Valentine's Day was not all hearts and flowers. When I was in Cielo Vista Elementary, there were no rules about bringing a Valentine for each kid in the class. You were either a cool kid who got tons of little white envelopes filled with punny Valentine's, or you were the kid who only got a handful of them from kids whose moms made them give one to everybody in the class.  V-Day was grade school hell.

When Will City Rep. Eddie Holguin Pay Back The Money He Spent For Shawver Park?

75 days.  Tuesday morning will mark 75 days since the switch was thrown on the Shawver lights Christmas display.  City Rep. Eddie Holguin proposed the lights display in the Lower Valley park on November 12th, almost 3 months ago.  When the lights display was approved, it was with the stipulation that Rep. Holguin would get corporate sponsorships to recover the costs for putting on the light display.  It's been 3 months and only $12,050 has been raised - time to show us the money, Mr. Holguin!
