Tricia

I've been the co-host of the Mike and Tricia Mornings for the past 8 years, the longest running of Mike's on-air wives! My day starts with a muttered curse word when the alarm goes off at 3 a.m., but once that first morning pot of coffee kicks in, I'm raring to go and entertain our listeners! I'll let you know when that finally happens! I'm happily married to Darren Hunt, mom to Ryan and Sam, grandmother to 4 beautiful little girls, and part of a huge family who loves to hang out eat, talk, and argue politics - kind of like what I do on the show! When asked what the best part of my job is, I always say, it's the listeners. You've gotten me through Ryan's 3 deployments, been patient with me during the ballpark controversy, and been so nice to me all these years! Thanks for listening!

El Paso Parks & Rec to Hold Kids Power Wheels Race [Registration]

If you’re the mom of boys, you know that at some point you’re going to have to buy them a Big Wheel. Boys dig going as fast as they can on those iconic 3 wheelers, and then figuring out how to do the spin stop. Three wheels are cool and everything, but kids today like things a little faster, that's the City wants to see which kid is the fastest on 4 wheels this weekend with a Power Wheels Kids Car Race!

Group Holds Appreciation Dinner For Fort Bliss Military Spouses Friday Night

Military spouses are just like civilian spouses. They raise kids, go to work, clean the house, go grocery shopping, but they do it in cities that aren't their hometown, and often without their loved one because they are serving a deployment. Now, it's time for a little pampering for those amazing military spouses.

What Will Happen If EPISD Closes Bowie And Jefferson High Schools? An Open Letter To EPISD And Parents

An email that was leaked to KFOX14 this week outlining the possibility of closing some schools in the El Paso Independant School District, and consolidating Bowie and Jefferson high schools, has a lot of people up in arms.  Once again, we see how poorly situations are handled at the district, and once again, parents are up in arms about schools closing.  It's probably inevitable that some schools will close because of budget cuts, and parents are just going to have to get over that.  And it's inevitable that EPISD will be under fire from those parents.  They should use this opportunity to better communicate with the taxpayers they serve.  Here's how both can do that.

UTEP Miners Beat Tulane In Basketball And Tied For First Place In CUSA – Could March Madness Be Far Behind?

UTEP remains the only Texas college basketball team with an NCAA championship. That title was won on March 19, 1966, by the legendary Coach Don Haskins and the team of five black players when UTEP was called Texas Western. That win, and Haskins career here in El Paso, made this a college basketball city. When UTEP hired Haskins disciple, Tim FLoyd, hopes were raised that maybe UTEP could win another NCAA title. Whether or not they can do that remains to be seen, but after last night's victory over Tulane, and UTEP's tie for first place in Conference USA, could the NCAA Tournament once again be within the Miner's reach?
