Although we've known that Casey Kasem has been struggling with illness for some time, it doesn't make it any easier to report today that the beloved longtime radio DJ and voice of Scooby-Doo has passed away at the age of 82.
Sad news this Sunday evening, as it's being reported that Ann B. Davis, best known for her role as housekeeper Alice Nelson on beloved classic sitcom 'The Brady Bunch,' has passed away at the age of 88. The actress and two-time Emmy award winner died following a tragic accident in her home on Sunday.
For the first year since 2005 we won't be getting a new full-length Pixar film, and while that's kind of a bummer to think about, we do have some wonderful Pixar news to share today. The studio has released an official synopsis for one of two (yes, two) new films aimed for released in 2015: Pete Docter's 'Inside Out.' And, as a bonus, the studio has debuted a new 'Cars' short on its Disney Movies Anywhere platform today, just in time for the holiday.
Warner Bros. and Legendary are doing a great job stirring up excitement for 'Godzilla,' and today brings the first official clip from the film, which features the set-up for quite an impressive monstrous showdown -- it also informs us that Godzilla might not be the big baddie of this film after all.
Maybe you find yourself listening to the 'Game of Thrones' theme song and thinking it's missing something, and if you're a particularly creative individual, maybe you think that something is farm animals. We've heard many variations on the 'Game of Thrones' theme song, from vintage video game recreations to the kid stars of the show singing it themselves, but believe us, you've never heard anything as weird (and hilarious) as the 'Game of Thrones' theme song when it's sung by goats. Ladies and gentlemen, this is 'Game of Goats.'
Disney is getting ready for Ralph to wreck it again, according to the composer of 'Wreck-It Ralph.' The company is reportedly working on a sequel to their hit animated film, but it may be some time before we see the results, as they're still in the early stages.
Released in 1992, 'Sister Act' starred Whoopi Goldberg as a lounge singer from Reno, put in protective custody and forced to stay at a convent, where she must pretend to be a nun to evade a dangerous mob boss. The film was a smash hit and inspired a sequel, released the following year, and a musical that went on to debut on Broadway in 2011. 22 years later, we revisit the cast of this beloved classic comedy and see what they're up to now.
Those who tuned into NBC's live coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi tonight were greeted with a little something extra from the network: during a commercial break, NBC teased the return of 'Heroes,' the television series created by Tim Kring, which ended in 2010. The new standalone series is appropriately titled 'Heroes Reborn,' as teased when the word "Reborn" flashed under the classic logo during the special promo.
John Travolta is now fully immersed in the "Eh, why the hell not?" phase of his career: the actor has signed on to play a Gummy Bear in the upcoming 'Gummy Bear' film, also known as Gummibar in the US. The project is based on the ever-growing and increasingly popular social media phenomenon, according to a press release sent out this weekend.
If you're like some of us around here, you mostly watch the Super Bowl for the hilarious commercials and the awesome new movie trailers. But there's one you won't be seeing on TV: Scarlett Johansson's Super Bowl commercial for SodaStream, which was banned from airing during the upcoming game.
Last night the Disney channel debuted a new sneak peek of their upcoming villain origin film 'Maleficent' during the premiere of the TV movie 'Cloud 9.' We're not entire sure what the difference is between a "sneak peek" and a trailer, but we do love the charming intro, featuring footage from the original animated 'Sleeping Beauty' film, which transitions beautifully into the live-action world of 'Maleficent' and Angelina Jolie's villainess.
Legendary producer Saul Zaentz, who began his career as a music producer and transitioned into an Oscar-winning film producer, has passed away at the age of 92. Zaentz is perhaps best remembered for his feud with Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty, and for his three Oscar wins for producing the Best Picture winners 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,' 'Amadeus,' and 'The English Patient.'
