The City of El Paso’s Animal Services Shelter have new hours of operation.

The change is necessary to accommodate the increasing number of animals that come in during the summer months.

In addition, it will provide time to concentrate on deep cleaning which can help with the disease spread that happens when animals in large numbers are in close proximity.

The change in hours will also allow for further training opportunities within the division. Although many shelters are closed at least one day a week, Animal Services hopes to be able to continue to provide service to the public seven days a week.

The Animal Services Shelter is located at 5001 Wilson, and is open seven days a week for adoptions and to reclaim lost animals. For questions on services or hours, please call (915) 842-1000.
