With the exception of collection letters and disconnect notices, almost everyone enjoys receiving packages in the mail, especially when there is booze inside.

Well, starting this week Texas residents can start getting some of their alcohol by mail, as Amazon.com recently announced that it is expanding its wine delivery to the Lone Star State. Amazon Wine, which launched late last year, offers a diverse selection of highly revered wines from across the country, including the addition of many Texas wineries.

Amazon Marketplace vice president, Peter Faricy says that now the wine drinkers of Texas can shop wineries all across the state and beyond right from their computers.

“We’re very excited for Texas wineries to share their highly-ranked selection with our millions of customers through the Amazon Wine store,” he said. “Our customers tell us they enjoy our wine-country selection combined with the convenience of finding detailed wine information in one place. We want to connect customers with wineries around the country and provide a destination where they can learn about and purchase wines directly from wineries on the platform they trust.”

Among the Texas wineries now being sold on the Amazon marketplace are: Messina Hof, Becker Vineyards, McPherson Cellars, Brennan Vineyards and Llano Estacado. Texans can now have up to six bottles of their favorites wines shipped directly to their homes for $9.99.
