We’ve all seen the commercials where woman are dancing, swimming, playing a sport and just having a great time while on their periods.

What these commercials don’t do is use the “V” word – instead they use lots of diagrams and pictures illustrating the power of their product vs. another. And they also use other words like ‘comfort’, ‘dry’ and ‘confidant.’

Until now, when a commercial ran on Australian TV recently sending out a clear and concise message and dared to use the “V” word…yes vagina.

The campaign spokeswoman Debbie Selikman defends the add saying that women don’t want to hear “euphemisms or diminutive terms" to describe their bodies.

Amen sister!
