The café scene in El Paso is pretty incredible, not only do we have cafes that serve the typical coffee and sweets, we also get cafes that are just exploding with amazing options. Lemme tell ya though, it's not just the menus that have something amazing to offer at these EP coffee spots.

2Ten is one of those spots that surprised me at first, they have a really great cup of coffee for sure but they also offer a lot of other café beverages like teas and smoothies. What really got me though? The food menu. The meals they offer are only breakfast and lunch style but believe me, the portion sizes alone make the lunch menu a pretty solid dinner menu too. For breakfast, you can grab bowls of my favorite meal, the Chuco Hash, (and other options of course) or you can go with a brunch option from their ‘Lite Breakfast’ section. Lunch options are hefty and hearty with side salads, fries, fruit, or soups! My personal favorite location is the spot in Five Points connected to the patio bar, Pink Cloud. The vibe is calm and on a nice day, you can order food and coffee from the Pink Cloud half instead of having to run back and forth between locations.

On Texas Ave, just a block away from San Jacinto Plaza, a little café sits and waits for you. Monkey Green Café is a great option for the health nuts in your life! The options are all health based and the café itself is pet friendly too! But hey, the fact that the café is a healthy location doesn't take away from how good this place is. From natural coffees and fresh fruit smoothies to HUGE veggie burgers and stacked deli sandwiches, this place is ready for the hungriest of people no matter what you like. The location is cozy, cool, and is a great place to post up while you work on things for a while. Plus, they have some pretty tasty desserts for when you finally finish that huge veggie burger.

Frontera Churros might specialize in those tasty, sugar coated, fried desserts that the borderland knows and loves, but believe me, the menu doesn't end there. Of course the churro menu is impressive! You can load up your churros with crazy toppings or even get specialty churros that are pre-loaded with delicious options like smores, caramel, and even bacon! It doesn't stop there though, Frontera has a pretty decent lunch and breakfast menu as well. Nothing too heavy, but still packed with flavor no matter what you order. Aside from the hot chocolates, coffees, and teas, Frontera Churros best thing to offer is their friendly service. The space is accommodating, kind, and the staff are so willing to help you with any questions you might have. Definitely a great little spot to hang out with a couple of friends and munch on some light desserts.

Bees Pastry Café is a woman owned and operated establishment that has recently been really involved with the local arts community. Hosting their own open mics with live music and art as well as hosting writing workshops in the space, this spot has a lot going on! On top of that, they boast a mean menu of Puerto Rican inspired foods that are just as delicious as their coffee! Bees has a delicious menu that offers all day breakfast including omelets, unique pastries, and a huge array of drinks from milkshakes to teas! Of course, they also have some great lunch sandwich options as well. Plus the vibe of the whole place just makes you feel chipper and excited.

Last but certainly not least on our list, my favorite café in town, Aaron & Georges. El Paso's only film café is an absolutely inspiring place to be. Not only does the Film Café live up to its name in terms of showcasing movies in their space, they let the community decide what's playing! Every Saturday night, you can come watch an El Paso local curate a movie night that feels like its just for you. Especially if you like the movies they're playing! A&G’s also has everything from brunch to dinner options as well as beer and wine. So you can hang out on a Saturday evening while you sip coffee or beer and eat a delicious bowl of albondigas (my favorite menu item) as some incredible classic film plays on the big screen in the café. The sound quality is awesome as well and when movies aren't playing during the week, you can just chill out with some good music and the company of the very friendly owner, Douglas. Its one of the most unique spots in Downtown El Paso and you have to check it out if you like movies, brunch, or great conversation.
