Chances are you'll be spending the Memorial Day weekend with friends and family throwing down some beers and burgers.  But when kicking it at home gets a bit on the boring side, here are some places to go and people to see this weekend:

KLAQ Balloonfest - Saturday through Monday, May 26-28, at Wet N’ Wild Waterworld. The price of the ticket gets you access to the water rides, and live concerts nightly. Southern New Mexico Wine Festival - Saturday through Monday, May 26-28, at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds, Las Cruces. The festival features sampling of wines produced by 17 New Mexico wineries as well as live music daily, local food and vendors. Tickets: $15 (includes souvenir glass). Must have valid ID; free for under 21 with parent or legal guardian. Active duty and retired military receive $3 discount on Monday, with valid ID. More Details

Farmer’s Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing - The 11th annual market kicks off this Saturdays, May 26. Features local farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans. More Details

El Paso Diablos Baseball - The team will host Winnipeg Friday and Saturday, May 25-26, and Kansas City Monday, May 28. Tickets: $7 general admission; $8 box seats; free for ages four and younger. More Details
