If you are a Snapchat user, you might need to change your info.

According to reports, someone may have stolen 4.6 million usernames and phone numbers belonging to Snapchat users. A website created just before the start of 2014 called SnapchatDB.info, allegedly allows anyone to download the files to these hacked accounts.

On December 27th, Snapchat.com released a blog about the apps security hazards, after computer security professionals warned them of what could possibly happen. The blog discussed the possibility of someone hacking the app through their Finding Friends feature to obtain numerous phones numbers. Once hackers have these phone numbers, they would be able to match up usernames to phone numbers and do whatever they want from there. Snapchat ended their blog explaining the newly added security measures that would prevent spam and abuse but it may not have been enough.

The hackers that set up SnapchatDB.info have hinted at releasing the raw data they have obtained to the right party, if Snapchat doesn't do anything about the security for the app. Creators of Snapchat haven't responded to the allegations but as a precaution, you may want to check your info here.
