Summer is around the corner but the sun is already in full force here in the Sun City. Make sure you prevent sunburns but if it happens to you make sure you follow these three steps.

    Moisturize

    After a cool shower, slather on a good amount of your favorite moisturizer. Almost too much. And also make sure that your moisturizer has plenty of Vitamin C and Vitamin E, these actually start healing skin damage due to sun overexposure. Apply the lotion every 2-3 hours to ensure proper moisturization.

    Hydrate

    Even though the sunburn is superficial, it can put a strain on your body from the inside out. You don't want to be sunburned and dehydrated, those two together are never a fun combo. Drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day and especially do this while sunburned. It actually helps your skin heal faster.

    Medicate

    As soon as it is available to you, take a recommended dose of a pain reliever. Ibuprofen or Tylenol will do the trick and they will also break a fever if the sunburn has you sick. If you feel any other symptoms of sun poisoning seek immediate medical attention. These include fever, vomiting and diarrhea,
