3 Gadsden ISD Schools Closed Tuesday Morning

If you have a child in the Gadsden Independent School District, you need to know about some school cancellations today.

A downed well has forced Riverside Elementary, Desert View Elementary, and Sunland Park Elementary to close because there is no water supply for students in those schools.

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRUA) manages the well, and they say they’ve been trying to fix problems they inherited when they took over the wells from the City of Sunland Park.

Riverside Elementary, Desert View Elementary, and Sunland Park Elementary schools are scheduled to reopen Wednesday morning.

The cancellation affects all staff, faculty, and students, but campus administrators will remain on duty.
