The 12th season of Alfresco! Fridays kicks off this Friday evening with local band Sorry about Your Sister doing the honors. Sorry about Your Sister plays mostly original music often described as ‘rockabilly,’ but with so many different musical influences the band members themselves prefer to label their high energy sound of “Hank Williams and Motorhead, with just a kick of Johnny Cash” as “tacobilly.”

The free concert will get underway at 6 p.m. at the Convention Center Plaza in front of the Convention Center and Abraham Chavez Theatre downtown. No outside food or beverages, or pets are allowed, but feel free to dress casually and bring your dancing shoes.

Alfresco! Fridays highlights fresh-air performance by some of the best established and upcoming bands El Paso has to offer playing various genres of music almost every Friday evening through mid-September. Below is a look at the rest of the 2014 season.
