11-Year-Old Abducted Girl Found Dead in Shiprock After Amber Alert

An Amber Alert was issued at about 2 a.m. Tuesday morning for an 11-year-old that was abducted. She was found dead later in the morning.

A man believed to be a stranger kidnapped Ashlynne Mike from the Navajo Nation. . The fifth-grader was reported missing Monday afternoon, and an Amber Alert issued around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday said her kidnapper was seen driving a maroon van. And the FBI was on the case but it was too late. No one knows why authorities were not on the case sooner but it ended in tragedy.

The abducted Navajo girl was found Tuesday dead near the towering rock formation in Shiprock Arizona. Police are investigating the scene and the kidnapper is still at large.
